1. Project Overview
The InfoGiant Charity Platform is a community-driven initiative built for InfoGiant FM, a prominent radio station in Osun State, Nigeria. The project aims to digitize local philanthropy, allowing listeners and community members to easily fundraise for emergency relief, healthcare, and educational causes.
This platform serves as a bridge between “The Giants” (donors) and those in critical need, leveraging the trust of the radio station brand to foster a transparent and secure giving ecosystem.
2. The Challenge
Charitable giving in the region was often fragmented and lacked transparency. The client needed a robust solution to:
- Build Trust: Ensure donors feel secure that their money is going to verified causes.
- Simplify the Process: Remove friction from the donation process with a modern, intuitive interface.
- Empower Users: Allow community members not just to donate, but to start their own verified campaigns and track their impact through a personal dashboard.
3. The Solution
I designed and developed a comprehensive web application that balances emotional engagement with functional utility.
- Trust-Centric UI: The design uses a clean white background with the brand’s signature Red for urgency and Green for positive actions (donations), creating a psychological sense of security and action.
- Transparent Tracking: Real-time progress bars and “Total Raised” counters provide immediate feedback on the impact of contributions.
- User Dashboard: A fully functional dashboard was built for users to manage their profile, track their donation history, and monitor the performance of campaigns they have launched.
- Seamless Onboarding: The login and registration flow was optimized for speed, ensuring users can get to the donation screen with minimal barriers.
4. Visual Showcase
The Hero Section: Mobilizing the Community
The landing page features a high-impact, emotional hero section that clearly states the mission. The dark overlay ensures text readability, while the “Start Your Donation” CTA is prominent and inviting.
Campaign Discovery
A card-based layout displays active fundraisers. Each card provides critical at-a-glance information: the cause title, category (e.g., Fundraiser), progress bar, and the specific amount raised versus the goal.
The Donation Experience
The single campaign page is designed for conversion. It features a compelling story section on the left and a sticky donation widget on the right with preset amounts (₦1,000, ₦5,000, etc.) to speed up decision-making.
Secure User Onboarding
A minimalist, distraction-free authentication screen. The toggle between “Login” and “Create Account” simplifies the user journey, ensuring new donors can join the platform effortlessly.
Donor & Campaigner Dashboard
The backend of the user experience. This clean dashboard gives users a professional overview of their impact, displaying “Total Raised” and “Total Donated” stats, along with campaign management tools.
